Mexican produce trucks flood Nogales entry
Tagged: agriculture, Arizona, border
With the busy agriculture season upon them, U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers are hustling at the Mariposa Com-mercial Port of Entry as produce trucks, packed with watermelons, cucumbers and other produce wait for clearance.
More than 1,200 commercial trucks are being processed each day. From January through April, the port is open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sundays to help ease congestion.”*
