“omcast Corporation , the nation’s leading provider of entertainment, information and communications, today announced that it has enhanced its Comcast Digital Voice(R) service in the Greater Houston area by adding a new plan for customers who frequently call Mexico, helping them to stay in touch with family and friends.

For just $4.95 extra a month, customers can now add Carefree Minutes Mexico 100 to their Comcast Digital Voice calling plan, allowing them to call landline phones anywhere in Mexico for 100 minutes every month. Mexico is among the top international calling destinations for Comcast customers in Houston.

“We constantly evaluate ways to improve our product and service offerings,” said Tony Speller, Senior Vice President for Comcast’s Houston Region. “Carefree Minutes Mexico 100 allows our customers to call their friends and family on their landline phones in Mexico at a low monthly rate while continuing to enjoy all the benefits of Comcast Digital Voice.”

Comcast recently announced it has become the fourth-largest residential phone service provider in the United States, a milestone achieved in less than three years after having officially launched Comcast Digital Voice. Comcast Digital Voice is an award-winning* and reliable phone service that packs better features than traditional phone companies for a better price. Customers can save hundreds of dollars annually on home phone service from Comcast when compared to similar offers from the traditional phone providers. According to a recent study by Microeconomic Consulting and Research Associates (MiCRA), phone competition resulting from cable’s entrance into the residential and business marketplace will save consumers more than $100 billion over the next five years. Consumers have already saved $23.5 billion, including $13 billion in 2007 alone.

Comcast Digital Voice service includes: — Unlimited local and domestic long distance direct-dial calling from home to anywhere in the United States, with competitive international rates to more than 200 countries; — Twelve popular calling features plus enhanced voicemail — includes three-way calling, call waiting and caller ID for no additional charge; — 911/E911; — Battery backup that lasts up to eight hours during power outages; — Compatibility with a majority of home alarm systems; — Ability to retain existing telephone numbers when switching from another provider; and — Professional installation (for an additional fee).

Carefree Minutes Mexico 100 is the latest example of Comcast’s efforts to better serve Houston’s growing Latino population. Last year, the company introduced its Canales Selecto package to the Houston market, enhancing it with the addition of nine new Spanish-language networks that broadcast directly from Mexico. Additionally, the company is in the process of rolling out its On Demand service, which offers more than 130 hours of Spanish- language programming, including Mi Cine, one of the largest libraries of Mexican cinema featuring action movies, dramas, comedies, romance and popular “rancheras” from the 1930s to today. Comcast has also launched “Comcast Latino,” a broadband portal offering Spanish-language content to Comcast High- Speed Internet customers at www.comcast.net/.

Spanish-speaking customers can access information about the company’s products and services in Spanish at www.comcast.com/espanol. When they call 1-800-COMCAST, they have the option to choose Spanish as the language of preference.”*
