“Al Cardenas, chairman of Mitt Romney’s Florida campaign, said that one of the candidate’s opponents, likely John McCain, began making robo-calls to Cuban American voters in Miami that misrepresent his position on Cuba.

The calls claim that Romney supports opening up relations with the Castro regime, which Romney opposes, Cardenas said.

The recorded calls in Spanish began about 2 p.m. today, presumably in response to paid radio programming the Romney campaign ran in Miami touting Romney’s hard-line stance on Cuba.”*
