“It was far from Folsom Prison and certainly no “Jailhouse Rock,” but folk singer Silvio Rodriguez and other musicians played a penitentiary in Cuba on Monday through a government program to bring art to inmates.

Accompanied by a flutist, Rodriguez sat on a wooden stool and strummed his guitar in the afternoon sun — opening with “Ala de colibri” (”Wing of a Hummingbird”), a popular tune about acceptance and the joys of childhood.”*
