Coors Light(R) and Latino NFL Fans Get Ready for Kick-off with Tazon Latino II

“Coors Light(R), the official sponsor of the NFL, will help kick off Super Bowl XLII with an exciting starting lineup for Latino NFL fans. In addition to creating special Super Bowl packaging, Coors Light will present Tazon Latino II (Latino Bowl II), the second annual nationally televised flag game featuring former NFL players and Latino celebrities.

“Tazon Latino II is the premier Latino Super Bowl event,” Mauricio Cardenas, Coors’ chief officer, and U.S. multicultural markets, said. “It provides a unique and exciting experience for Latino consumers and it benefits Arizona’s Hispanic community.”

For each touchdown scored during Tazon Latino II, Coors will donate $1,000 to the Arizona of Commerce to promote leadership development.

“Supporting the development of leadership skills in the community will ensure the community’s strength in the future,” Cardenas said. Coors will present a check to Harry Garewal, president and chief executive officer of the Arizona of Commerce, after the game.

Tazon Latino II will be hosted by personalities Karim Mendiburu, Edgar Lopez and Alejandro Blanco and will be televised on on Feb. 2 at 2 p.m. ET, 2 p.m. PT and 1 p.m. CT. Ex-NFL game participants include Marcus Allen, Rocket Ismail, Randall Cunningham, Wayne Chebret, Eric Dickerson and Fuad Reveiz. Participating Latino celebrities include , Aylin Mujica, Miguel Varoni, Julissa Bermudez, Vanesa Hauc, Alex Sirvent, Kat DaLuna and Baby Bash. Bill Gramatica and Jamal Anderson will be the live announcers in Spanish and English respectively. Pop band Camila will perform during half time.

The game will be filmed in Phoenix on Jan. 30 at the NFL Experience at 6 p.m. Four lucky consumers will sit on the field sidelines with Tazon Latino II players.
