As They Wrap Final Production On A New Album Planned For Spring Release,

The Legendary LOS TIGRES DEL NORTE Set February & March Concert Dates

Already Multiple GRAMMY, LATIN GRAMMY and Premio Lo Nuestro winners,

Los Tigres del Norte Recently Received A Lifetime Achievement Award from The Latin Recording Academy, While Their Last Album Detalles y Emociones Has Also Garnered Another GRAMMY Nomination and Three More Premio Lo Nuestro Nominations

“The undisputed kings of Norteño… with lyrics that address the plight of Latino immigrants in the United States, as well as sociopolitical problems afflicting most of the migrating nations south of the border. Fittingly, they are known as ‘la voz del pueblo’ (the voice of the people).  Los Tigres have recorded more then 55 albums, and sold more than 32 million copies… The band is famous for the epic scope of its concerts, which can go on for hours until every single request from the audience as been fulfilled. More then a supergroup, Los Tigres del Norte are a living icon – one of Mexico’s biggest contributions to the U.S. Latino culture”

- The Latin Recording Academy’s Lifetime Achievement Awards Program

With details set to come shortly on a very special upcoming Los Tigres del Norte album, the world’s “most influential regional Mexican group” (Billboard) is preparing to once again take to the road in February and March for their marathon concerts that “bring music to the invisible people of America working under the radar(Orlando Weekly), sharing “songs [that provide] one of the clearest windows into the immigrant soul” (LA Times Magazine)  and “give strength to people who feel marginalized and under attack” (San Francisco Chronicle).

Along the course of the tour, Los Tigres may add to the award tally of their legendary four-decades long career,  as they once again possess a current GRAMMY nomination (Best Norteño Album), and three Premio Lo Nuestro nominations (Regional Mexican Album of The Year, Group of the Year, and Norteño Artist of the Year).  But win or lose, it will be the fairgrounds, rodeos, and armory dances across the country where Los Tigres will celebrate with fans.  Touring a full 10 months out of the year, the road is where you will always find Los Tigres del Norte, continuing their role as “the lyrical voice of the immigrant community” (Washington Post)

“[Regional Mexican] music’s greatest statesmen are Los Tigres del Norte…Los Tigres sell millions of records, regularly top Billboard’s Latin charts and draw tens of thousands of fans to stadiums… Their show was mega-size: music all night and far into the morning hours… Los Tigres playing 42 songs over two 90-minute segments that finally ended at 3 a.m… each time Los Tigres bit into the groove of a two-beat ranchera, sustenance was served in jolts… the band’s singer and accordionist Jorge Hernández…was mesmerizing” -New York Times

“For the last 40 years these grand men of music have taken their message of hope and hardship beyond the borderland and into millions of hearts throughout the United States and Mexico.” Dan Rather

“I was standing at the back of a stage in the Zocalo, Mexico City’s main square, looking out over a mob of 150,000 screaming fans of Los Tigres del Norte…In this world, Los Tigres are like Willie Nelson and the Rolling Stones combined, the enduring superstars of down-to-earth working class pop. Their Records sell in the millions, their concerts pack halls throughout the North American continent, and their songs have become part of the Mexican cultural heritage… Looking out over the largest audience ever gathered in Mexico’s central square, with all the traffic shut off for blocks in every direction and towering amplifiers bouncing accordion rhythms off the Spanish colonial buildings, no one could doubt the power of this music.” – Elijah Wald
