“With raindrops falling on his face as he rode down José Martí Boulevard on his Harley-Davidson motorcycle, Eddy ”Bigotes” Rodriguez pondered once again whether the message of the ”Cuban Apostle” would remain one of democracy for Cuba.

This was the 15th year that Rodriguez and his 15 friends, all Cubans and also on motorcycles, were riding in the annual Hialeah-sponsored parade dedicated to poet, writer and independence fighter José Martí.”*
