Fortunately, she found help at the San Joaquin County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce’s annual bilingual financial aid workshop hosted by University of the Pacific.
More than 1,300 high school students and their parents from throughout the county flocked to Pacific on Saturday to fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. The attendance nearly tripled from last year’s turnout.
Assistance for filling out the application was provided by bilingual volunteers from Pacific, Heald College and California State University.”*
