The World Health Organization is advising travelers to Brazil’s forested areas to get yellow fever vaccinations amid a worsening outbreak of the disease, the O Estade de Sao Paulo newspaper reported Tuesday.
The recommendation was made to health authorities around the world last Friday, the daily said, citing the Brazilian health ministry.
Late Monday, health officials in the central state of Goias confirmed that a 24-year-old Brazilian man who died January 2 succumbed to yellow fever.”*
