Mayor says staff never insulted Hispanics – Buffalo, New York
Tagged: New York
Allegations that members of his administration made vulgar, insulting remarks directed at the Hispanic community — or any other ethnic group — are “absolutely false, totally untrue, made up,” Mayor Byron W. Brown said Monday.
“No one in my administration uses derogatory comments toward different segments of the community. We have a deep respect for different segments of the community. We’re at events throughout the community. We’re very visible throughout the community, and the rapport we have with the community is well-documented,” said Brown, responding to comments made by Lorraine Clemente, who was his executive assistant from January 2006 to May 2007.”*
