“A convoy of vans loaded with Yakima Valley Hispanic advocates will head over the Cascade Mountains later this week to give lawmakers their perspective on education, migrant labor and economic development and other issues.

The convoy, will pick up participants in Sunnyside, Grandview and Toppenish, before joining others from around the state at the annual Hispanic Legislative Day in Olympia. Once there, they will lead discussions, meet with lawmakers and push for everything from scholarships for bilingual teachers to more assistance for Hispanic entrepreneurs.”*
