“Mexico’s leading brewer Modelo, the maker of Corona beer, has raised domestic beer prices by an average of 3.5 percent to 4.0 percent, a company official said on Thursday.

The price increase was not uniform among Modelo’s (GMODELOC.MX: Quote, Profile, Research) brands and not the same throughout the country but was an average across its beers and its markets. “It is not the same increase everywhere,” the official told Reuters.”*
