“A turning point in the state’s history will be replayed at 1 p.m. Sunday when costumed actors re-enact the signing of the Treaty of Cahuenga, which ended the Mexican-American War in California.

The Articles of Capitulation were signed by Lt. Col. John C. Fremont and Gen. Andr s Pico on Jan. 13, 1847, on the kitchen table of Tom s Feliz’s six-room adobe at Campo de Cahuenga. The treaty allowed the Californios who fought for to return home after giving up their artillery and immediately freed all prisoners from both sides.”*
