At least 2,000 were expected, each looking for a gift from the biblical three wise men, who legend says bring presents to children who have been good all year.

Five days into the new year, as most Americans were unwinding from holiday celebrations, Latinos were celebrating Tres Reyes Magos, or Three Kings Day, to note the visit of the three wise men to baby Jesus.”*
