“Latino consumers can cast their votes on more than 15 major web sites including, www.univision.com for the top diversity TV and print ads for 2007. Winners will be announced at the star-studded, 12th Annual Urban Wheel Awards, which will be held at the elegant Fox Theatre on Jan. 15, 2008 during the North American International Auto Show. New this year is the diversity television ad category, which encompasses all those auto manufacturers who not only practice diversity in their workplace but have embraced diversity in their marketing initiatives and created targeted creative messages for Latino and Latin American communities. New vehicle sales among ethnic minorities have grown more than 20 percent in the past two years, while the general market has declined by 2 percent, according to R.L. Polk.

Rosie Perez, Ramon Rodriguez and Giancarlo Esposito will present awards to winners at the 12th annual Urban Wheel Awards. The opinion of the public is highly valued by top marketing auto executives who attend the annual Urban Wheel Awards. The ad competition allows the consumer to set the benchmark for ads that appeal to them. The winning creative messages will be decided solely by the public. The “people’s choice” awards will be decided by visitors to http://www.urbanwheelawards.com and other automotive and multicultural web sites.

On Wheels Inc., the only multimedia, multicultural automotive communication company, has presented the Urban Wheel Awards to acknowledge Latino automotive executives whose business mantras include diversity. “This is our opportunity to publicly show our gratitude for the efforts that minorities have made by promoting diversity in the marketplace,” said Randi Payton, CEO and founder of On Wheels Inc.
