This Sunday, Jan. 6, many Brooklyn residents, especially those from the Caribbean and other Hispanic countries, will celebrate Three Kings Day, also known as Epiphany and Dia de los Tres Reyes Magos.
The holiday is a Christian celebration that commemorates the Biblical story of the three kings who followed the star of Bethlehem to bring gifts to the Christ child. According to the Biblical story, the kings presented the Baby Jesus with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh.”*
