As expected, Mayor-elect Brian Snedecor announced Wednesday that patrol Sgt. Rod Gonzalez will serve as police chief under his administration.
Gonzalez, 42, was picked to serve as the department’s top administrator following a search and interview pro-cess, said Snedecor, who retired from the Hobart Police Department in October after a 27-year career, including a five-year stint as chief.”*
