Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner, the first woman elected president of Argentina, replaced her husband Nestor Kirchner today with a pledge to maintain policies that have stoked both growth and inflation.
Fernandez, 54, took the oath of office at the congress building in Buenos Aires at 1:12 p.m. New York time wearing a white dress and standing next to her husband.”*
