Hodges University to create Hispanic Institute to meet growing needs of area – Lee and Collier counties in Florida

Hodges University, a regionally accredited institution with campuses in Fort Myers and Naples, on Monday announced the formation of the Hispanic Institute, a group of Hispanic civic, education and business leaders that will endeavor to address issues of importance to the rapidly expanding Hispanic communities of Lee and Collier counties.
According to Leonardo Garcia, executive director of the Southwest Florida Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, about 17 percent of Lee County — and 40 percent of Collier County — is Hispanic.”*
