Authorities said that it appeared to be the country’s third murder of a musician in less than a week. José Luis Aquino, 33, had been hit repeatedly on the head in Puerto Escondido and a crime of passion was suspected, the Oaxaca state attorney-general’s office said. Aquino played for Los Conde, who have recorded six albums. The band’s singer and guitar player, Francisco Conde, said Aquino was married with two children and had played with them for 14 years . “He was a good person and never fought with anyone,” Conde said. “He didn’t smoke or do drugs.””*
