HITN-TV, the first Spanish-language educational and cultural network in the U.S, is proud to continue supporting exceptional education in one of the fastest growing demographic groups in the U.S. The funds that HITN-TV has donated to the Blue Ridge School will be allocated into a scholarship fund that will finance the education of deserving Latino young men for the next several years.
HITN sees this monetary contribution as an investment in the talent and potential of the young Hispanic population. “We feel proud to contribute to the scholarship fund of the Blue Ridge School as we continue in our mission to help strengthen and educate the Latino community, and help them ultimately to reach their full potential,” Said Jose Luis Rodriguez, HITN-TV Founder and CEO.
Blue Ridge School is an all-boys college preparatory boarding school grades nine through twelve. It serves young men who respond well to small classes, a structured environment, and a strong sense of community. Blue Ridge School is located twenty miles from Charlottesville, Virginia, and comprises nearly 800 acres at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
“A significant percentage of the Hispanic students at Blue Ridge School are from the New York area and are often introduced to the school by organizations that are strong supporters of independent education for Hispanic students, like HITN” Said Mr. Rob Murphy, Assistant Head Master of Blue Ridge School. “We are grateful for the support that HITN-TV is giving us and look forward to a continued symbiotic relationship in which we strive to offer as many educational opportunities as possible to the young, promising Hispanic population.”
