“, star of La Fea más Bella, opens up in ’s December/January issue about her New Year’s resolutions, her acting career that began at two-years-old and what she desires most in 2008. Excerpts from the issue, on newsstands nationwide, follow:

About going after that lead role: “Maybe because I’m not Barbie-type – blonde, thin, blue eyed –, it was impossible for people to see me as the protagonist in a .” But, she says: “Even though the big opportunity wasn’t coming, I couldn’t get angry or upset. I kept preparing myself so that, if it did come, I wouldn’t miss out because I wasn’t ready.”

One of her New Year’s goals: “Come January 1st, like every other year, I’ll think about getting back to the gym.” Then, she laughingly admits: “Also, like every other year, that thought will probably only last a few days.”

About her dreams of finding love: “I’ve always been a romantic. But it doesn’t mean you lose faith if you haven’t achieved much success. I know that God will send me someone very special, and that every day I’m a little closer.”
