“Last month, the native won a grant from the National Association of Latino Arts and Culture to support a public exhibit of her work in natural dyes on amate paper.

“From the Earth: Modern Art From Traditional Hispanic Papermaking Roots,” a floor installation, opened yesterday Downtown in the lobby of the Rhodes Tower.
