“Puerto Rican baseball players hoping to get a shot at the major leagues will be able to train at a stadium in the capital of the U.S. territory, which was forced to cancel its winter league circuit earlier this year after 70 consecutive seasons.

The new training program, which was organized by former major league third baseman Eduardo Perez and the municipality of San Juan, will help developing players hone their skills during the sport’s offseason, organizers said in a statement Thursday.”*
