“Recently, WESH 2’s Aixa Diaz traveled to Puerto Rico to explore the issue of statehood and the service of Puerto Rican soldiers in the U.S. military.

But on the trip back to the island, Diaz, who grew up in San Juan, had the chance to revisit her family and some of her favorite childhood places.

Diaz lived in Puerto Rico for eight years. Her parents and brother lived in the penthouse apartment at the top of an apartment building in San Juan.”*
