“The campaign to get more Hispanics registered to vote in Georgia for next year’s elections has taken a new turn.

Georgia Spanish media representatives met recently with leaders of the Georgia Latino Vote and committed to “an historic agreement” of ongoing educational campaign of nonpartisan and voter education to focus upon the upcoming elections in 2008.

Target audiences include U.S. citizens who have moved to Georgia from other states, newly naturalized U.S. citizens, and U.S. born of immigrants who will be of age to vote by November 2008.”*
