The U.S. marshal is a mythical figure in the American West. But how about this for myth busting?
The U.S. marshal based in Sacramento, who oversees the hunting and transporting of federal fugitives and prisoners in Central California, is also the son of undocumented immigrants.
Yes. Marshal Tony Amador’s late parents were “illegal.” They followed the immigrant trail of labor from northern Mexico to Utah, a different job guiding their destiny, willing employers serving as magnets.”*
