With great interest I read Jade Hunter’s reactions to the Hispanic Women of Weld County Awards Breakfast. Mrs. Hunter is obviously articulate and intelligent. I also note that the Tribune gave her opinions significant exposure.
I did not hear Juana Bordas’ comments; therefore, I have no right to comment on them. This is being written as a counterpoint to my perception that Mrs. Hunter’s reaction to her experience might be interpreted as insinuating that HWWC is a racist organization whose mission is to somehow denigrate white people.”*
