“CENTRAL FALLS — Hispanic children outnumber white children by a nearly 2-1 margin, 56.4 percent to 28.4 percent, while in Pawtucket, white children outnumber Hispanics 55.6 percent to 21 percent, according to a new report issued Monday by RI Kids Count called Central Falls and Pawtucket Data in Your Backyard.

In Rhode Island, 36 percent of Hispanic and black children live in poverty, compared with only 9 percent of white children.”*
