R&B/Hip-Pop Latin Trio the D.E.Y. Selected as MTV Tr3s ‘Descubre & Download’ Artist

New recording artist The D.E.Y., who’s sultry R&B vocals ride sabroso hip-pop beats, has been selected as MTV Tr3s “Descubre & Download” Artist and will get the channel’s multiplatform support throughout MTV Tr3s signature programs, MTVTr3s.com, MTV Tr3s Radio, MTV Tr3s Mobile, MTV.com, VOD, and MTV Networks’ Rhapsody digital music service. A free download of the trio’s Tower of Power inspired “Give You the World” is available exclusively at MTVTr3s.com through January 15th, 2008.

Signed to Epic Records, The D.E.Y.—comprised of singer Élan Luz Rivera and MCs Divine and Yeyo—is earning fast buzz with the release of their debut album, The D.E.Y. Has Come, which looks to join the Latin, pop & urban markets. Hot tracks, a conscious message and radio-ready jams reflect the trio’s diverse roots. From the infectious, dance club sing-along hook on the Timbaland-produced “Get The Feeling,” to the mournful track “Que Vamos a Hacer?” which addresses political corruption and the proliferation of violence and racial profiling, The D.E.Y.’s debut LP gives new life to the term fusion.
