A Puerto Rican shrink with an identity crisis, a lonely immigrant at a dance club in Jackson Heights and a young artist looking to get out of Washington Heights are some of the lead characters in the second edition of the Hispanic New York Film Festival.
“The festival’s objective is to show films that portray the experience of various Latin American communities in New York,” says Claudio Remeseira, the festival’s curator along with Marcela Goglio. “Also, we want to show films that have a testimonial value aside from their artistic one.” “*
