Seven years ago, the Latino Task Force of Boulder County started a first-of-its-kind study to assess the needs and contributions of local Latinos.
The task force published its findings in November 2001. Now, task force members think it’s past time to re-examine Boulder County’s Latino population and the issues it faces.
“Quite a bit of time has already passed since the last (study) was done,” said Pete Salas, the Latino Task Force board president and the Boulder County diversity liaison. “We saw this as something that would need to be repeated as the demographics changed and as the community changed.””*
