Juan Miguel Marin took a moment during his band Eva Fina’s performance at a neighborhood festival to express his appreciation to the audience. He went a step beyond the generic “thank you” most bands would offer.
“This neighborhood is ahead of the curve in Charlotte,” Marin told the hundred or so people lazing in a meadow in front of the Midwood Park stage. “You’re a very eclectic group, always open to music in different languages. We’ve played here before as another band and we’re glad to be back.”"*
