Marta Gomez’s silken voice evokes her origins in Cali, Colombia. But since the singer-songwriter oved to the United States in 1999, she has also embraced all kinds of Latin American sounds.
On her four CDs, she blends Cuban son, Peruvian lando and Colombian cumbia with jazz and other genres. Her style defies all conventions and some critics have compared her to Astrud Gilberto and Norah Jones.”*
