The fifth-annual Latino Youth Summit packed Centralia College’s Washington Hall Tuesday, giving minority students a chance to learn more about education and their available career options.
“They keep growing and getting better,” Centralia College Diversity Outreach Coordinator Jose Diaz said about the yearly event.
The original plan had set a cap of about 350 students on the event, but Diaz, who is president of the Hispanic Roundtable and was chair of the summit, guessed the actual attendance at between 450 and 500.”*
