So what’s the policy here in North Carolina regarding illegal immigrants and driving privileges? Up until a month ago illegal immigrants could get a driver’s licenses in North Carolina.
State legislators recently passed a law that closed the last loophole that allowed illegal immigrants to get drivers licenses. That law tightened what a person is required to show at the DMV to prove citizenship status.”*
