“At a community breakfast attended by leaders of the Collier County business and political communities yesterday morning, it was announced Mayela and Orlando Rosales and their multimedia company, Media Vista Multimedia Corporation have been named this year’s prestigious Southwest Florida Blue Chip Community Business Award winners.

The couple, founders and owners of Media Vista are co-owners of the Mexico City based TV broadcast network for Southwest Florida, Azteca America, the fastest growing network in the USA, which is provided on DIRECTV channel 14 and on Comcast channels 251and 600 to hundreds of thousands of homes. Before the Rosaleses acquired Azteca America, they were behind the startup and growth of the only live, daily, local Spanish-language D’Latinos al Dia TV show, which airs on weekdays on Azteca America at 5 PM and from 7-8AM on My TV 8 on all cable TV providers in Southwest Florida, and on, reaches as many as 431,000 homes (91,000 Hispanic.), as well as D’Latinos Magazine, a monthly color lifestyle publication. They also have a companion website and recently launched the only live local daily newscast in Spanish on Azteca America at 6 PM each weeknight.

The Rosaleses were all smiles after the announcement was made at the 13th annual award ceremony at the Naples Hilton sponsored by Fort Myers-based Oswald Trippe and Company, Inc, the largest privately owned insurance agency in Southwest Florida.

“I’m short of words,” said Orlando Rosales, standing beside his wife. “We’ve been in Southwest Florida for 11 years and this is one of the best days. We have strived to serve the growing Hispanic population of Southwest Florida, so this award is not only very important to our company but for the recognition of the community we represent, as well.”

Orlando and Mayela came to Naples in 1996 from their hometown of Maracaibo, Venezuela, and launched Media Vista in 2001. Today they employ 23 people at their headquarters on Taylor Road in Naples.”*
