No more bets. The Latin Grammys’ eighth edition is headed for Sin City Thursday and we seem to have already found a winner: the Caribbean.
Leading the nominations this year are Dominican merengue star Juan Luis Guerra with five nods, and two Boricua idols, Ricky Martin and Calle 13, with four each.
All of them will perform live at Las Vegas’ Mandalay Bay Events Center in what some see as a Caribbean takeover of the awards after a long reign by Spaniard Alejandro Sanz, and Colombians Shakira and Juanes.”*
