Interep Opens Hispanic TV Rep Firm

Interep announced Thursday it has opened a new TV rep firm dedicated to developing national sales for independent Hispanic TV stations, called Hispanic Independent Television Sales (HITS). Tom Marsillo, president of Azteca America Spot TV Sales, which Interep opened two years ago, will also serve as president of HITS.
In the next week, HITS will announce that its first client will be Pappas Telecasting Companies, which launched TuVision programming in July on five stations in Houston; San Francisco; and Sacramento; Reno, Nev.; Omaha, Neb.; and Sioux City, Iowa. The deal also includes Pappas’ future TuVision stations in Los Angeles and 15 other markets.”*
