Efforts to implement a Latino studies minor gained momentum when about 50 students and faculty attended a presentation by the director for Latino studies at Notre Dame, Monday night.

Students and faculty attended the lecture presented by Gilberto Cárdenas to show support for this desired program. He discussed the growing rates of the Latino population in the United States.”*
