“The release of the new album by Colombian rocker Juanes is something of a watershed moment for fans of rock en español. Back in the late ’80s/early ’90s, the feisty scene exploding out of the Spanish-speaking world was often derided or ignored by the Latin pop and English-language rock mainstream.
Flash forward to this week and Juanes’ La Vida Es un Ratico (Life is a Moment) is reportedly the first all-Spanish album to be released simultaneously in North and South America, Europe, Asia and Australia.
