“Fearing that the immigration debate has prompted Latino voters to think twice about voting Republican, the Florida GOP is launching an outreach program emphasizing a different topic: the party’s core values of low taxes, faith and family.

Latino Republicans outnumber Latino Democratic voters in Florida by about 35,000, partly because of the large concentration of Cuban-Americans who have traditionally voted Republican.

But nationally, Latinos identify themselves as Democrats by a 2-1 ratio.”*
