“An international panel of experts will discuss critical issues for Hispanics in higher education as part of the annual meeting of the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) set for Oct. 20-22 in Chicago.
The panel will examine the role of Hispanic higher education and how it will shape the future of Hispanic populations, say conference organizers. It brings together leaders from Latin America and Spain to share their perspectives on how to make Hispanic higher education successful.
The panel includes keynote speaker Ambassador Arturo Sarukhán Casamitjana of the Embassy of Mexico in the United States; Dr. Miguel Martínez López, education and science commissioner from the Embassy of Spain in the United States; and Dr. Julio Miguel Martín Puertas, rector of the Universidad Autónoma de Asunción, Paraguay. The moderator will be Professor Agnes Mojica, chancellor of the Inter American University of Puerto Rico in San German.”*
