“As a young child, Victor Diaz-Gonzalez would follow his dad, an eye doctor, on hospital rounds during the weekends in Puerto Rico. He would stand aside and watch as his father would tend to patients.

Now, it’s Diaz-Gonzalez who is tending to his own patients. He followed his father into medicine, but decided to become a cardiologist. He moved to the United States in 1994 from San Juan, Puerto Rico, for a cardiology fellowship at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia and moved to Georgetown County in 1998.”*
