Bandleader’s message: Mexican music universal

“Mariachis Los Halcones is one of the best known Mariachi bands in South Jersey.

The band members interpret famous songs with a deep Mexican sentiment similar to other famous bands like El Sol de Mexico and Mariachi Vargas.

Their performances make it seem as if the band members actually hail from Cocula, in the state of Jalisco, also known as the cradle of Mariachi.

But Los Halcones are not from Mexico. They are from Honduras in Central America.”*
