Tagged: Arizona, family, Hispanic Chamber, TucsonPosted on: October 14th, 2007“A California man selected by the Tucson Hispanic Chamber of Commerce as its new CEO has withdrawn and the chamber’s board will reopen the hiring process in the coming weeks, officials said today.
Steve Nuñez, chairman of the chamber’s search committee, said the candidate cited “family obligations” in declining the position which has been vacant since July. He declined to disclose the candidate’s name.
“He is a magnificent person and extremely well qualified,” Nuñez said. “But at the Hispanic chamber, we understand the importance of familia. We respect his decision.”"*
