Ex-Mexico President Fox criticizes Irving’s immigration stance - Texas

“Former Mexican President Vicente Fox said Friday in Dallas that the U.S. government needs to respond to the national rancor over illegal immigration, arguing that the current “violence” of harsh words “invites people to have hate for others.”

In appearances before the World Affairs Council of Dallas/Fort Worth and in a meeting with editors and reporters at The Dallas Morning News , Mr. Fox singled out the suburb of Irving, where tensions over a high number of deportations have prompted rallies by opposing groups scheduled for today.

“I feel very bad, very bad, first, for humanitarian reasons,” said Mr. Fox. “*
