Dodgers nominated for Hispanic TV Network Azteca America’s “El Premio de La Gente”

“The Los Angeles Dodgers are nominated for the “Most Popular Team of the Year” in the eighth annual “El Premio de la Gente” award show broadcast on Hispanic TV Network Azteca America’s 60 affiliates across the U.S., Mexico and Latin America. “El Premio de La Gente” nominations are open to the public for voting and for the first time in the award show’s history, categories will be dedicated to professional sports in addition to music and entertainment.

“El Premio de la Gente,” the only people’s choice award show in the Hispanic market, honors the most popular names in music, entertainment and sports. Award categories include “Pop Artist or Group of the Year,” “Regional Mexican Artist or Group of the Year,” “Album of the Year,” “Athlete of the Year” and “Most Popular Soccer Team of the Year.” The Dodgers are up for the “The Most Popular Team of the Year” in addition to the Indianapolis Colts (NFL), Los Angeles Galaxy (MLS), San Antonio Spurs (NBA) and the New York Yankees.”*
