After months of pondering the issue, the City Council is expected to vote whether to rename a portion of Canyon Lake Drive after the late civil rights leader.
It’s a debate that’s expected to be contentious.
Councilwoman Linda DeLeon, who is carrying the request before the council, has said she doesn’t think a majority of her colleagues favor the name change. But she’s made changes to the proposal she said satisfies”*
