Liberty Power CEO David Hernandez Named ”National Hispanic Businessman of the Year” by U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce

“Liberty Power, the fastest growing, independent energy retailer focused on business consumers, today announced that CEO David Hernandez has been named “National Hispanic Businessman of the Year” by the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC). Hernandez was awarded the distinction at the 28th Annual USHCC National Convention in San Juan, Puerto Rico on September 22, 2007.

Hernandez co-founded Liberty Power in 2001 and has led the company to continuous growth over the past 7 years, growing from $800,000 in revenues during 2002 to over $119 million in 2006 and was recently named the fastest growing Hispanic business in the United States by Hispanic Business Magazine. The prestigious USHCC National Hispanic Businessman of the Year Award is presented each year to the Hispanic businessperson who has shown exemplary leadership and attained excellence in the business world. Hernandez has also been named National Hispanic Entrepreneur of the Year by the National Hispanic Professional Organization and Hispanic Entrepreneur of the Year by Hispanic Business Magazine during his tenure at Liberty Power.
